Billy was born on August 6, 1999, in Long Island, New York, and later moved to Holmdel, New Jersey, where he discovered his love for lacrosse. He played throughout high school, forming lifelong friendships and learning the values of teamwork and leadership that shaped who he became.
Billy went on to attend Chestnut Hill College, where he continued playing lacrosse and was named team captain. Under his leadership, the team won back-to-back CACC Championships in 2021 and 2022, and Billy earned CACC All-Tournament honors. During this time, he also completed his Bachelor’s degree in Business and his Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership, always striving to grow.
After graduating, Billy began his career at Audacy, Inc., where his hard work, positivity, and dedication led to a promotion to Account Executive.
Tragically, Billy’s life was taken in the New Orleans terror attack on January 1, 2025. His loss left an immeasurable impact on his family, friends, and community.
Above all else, Billy was kind, loving, and supportive. He was a devoted son to his parents, Tracie and Bill, and a proud big brother to Samantha and Anthony. Billy had a gift of bringing people together, always surrounded by friends and family. His contagious smile, big heart, and unwavering positivity left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
His life continues to inspire love, connection, and purpose — the heart behind The Billy DiMaio Foundation.
